Privacy Policy

PalaceDekho ("PalaceDekho", "we", "us", "our") is a wedding-venue discovery and concierge platform operated in India. We connect couples and event planners with heritage palace venues, banquet halls, resorts, farmhouses and qualified wedding vendors.

We collect only the information needed to deliver the service you request:

• Contact details — name, email, phone number and city.
• Wedding brief — preferred dates, guest count, budget range, regions, ceremony types and notes you share with our concierge.
• Account data — login identifiers, password hashes, saved shortlists and comparison lists.
• Vendor/Venue partner data — business name, GSTIN, PAN, bank details (for payouts), KYC documents, listing photos and pricing.
• Usage data — pages viewed, search filters, device, IP address, approximate location, referrer and cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Communications — call recordings, WhatsApp messages and emails exchanged with our concierge for quality and dispute resolution.

We do not collect guest passport numbers, payment-card numbers or government-ID images through the public website. Sensitive financial data, when required for partner payouts, is collected over secured channels and stored with restricted access.

• Respond to enquiries and prepare curated venue shortlists.
• Coordinate site visits, quotations and bookings between you and the venue/vendor.
• Verify vendor and venue partners (KYC, GST validation, photo authenticity).
• Process payments, commissions and refunds.
• Improve search relevance, content quality and platform performance.
• Send transactional updates (booking, payment, OTP) and — only with your consent — marketing offers.
• Detect fraud, abuse and protect the safety of our community.
• Comply with legal obligations, tax filings and lawful government requests.

We process personal data on the following lawful grounds:

• Consent — when you submit an enquiry, sign up or subscribe to marketing.
• Legitimate use — to provide a service you have requested, including sharing your brief with venues/vendors you select.
• Legal obligation — tax records, anti-fraud, response to lawful authorities.

When you ask us to negotiate with a specific palace or vendor, we share only the minimum information required: your name, contact number, email, wedding dates, guest count, budget band and any notes you authorised us to forward. We do not sell or rent your data.

Each partner is bound by our Data Sharing Policy and Vendor & Venue Partner Agreement, which restrict use of your data to the specific enquiry and prohibit onward sale, profiling or unsolicited marketing.

• Payment gateways and banks (for booking advances, vendor payouts).
• Cloud hosting providers in India and the EU (with standard contractual safeguards).
• Communication tools (email, SMS, WhatsApp Business API) used to reach you.
• Auditors, lawyers and regulators where required by law.
• Successors in the event of a corporate restructuring or merger — with prior notice to you.

Enquiry data is retained for up to 36 months after your last interaction to support repeat planning, referrals and dispute resolution. Booking, payment and tax records are retained for at least 8 financial years as required by Indian law. Marketing consent data is retained until you withdraw consent. You may request earlier deletion (see Section 9).

We use TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive fields at rest, role-based access controls, audit logs and periodic security reviews. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Subject to applicable law you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
• Withdraw consent for marketing or data sharing at any time.
• Request erasure of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention).
• Nominate a representative to exercise your rights in the event of incapacity.
• Complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

PalaceDekho is intended for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please write to us and we will delete it.

Some of our cloud and analytics providers may store data outside India. We rely on standard contractual safeguards and only transfer to countries not restricted by the Central Government under the DPDP Act.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or a prominent banner on the website at least 7 days before they take effect.
